When I heard the first time about OCASO releasing a fixed blade, I honestly didn’t know what to expect. . Most “gentleman’s knives” lean so hard into looking refined that they lose that satisfying, solid feel you actually want from a fixed blade. I met Gabriel Berthélémy from @la.forge.agab at the @knife_solingen and ended up spending a moment with someone who clearly builds from pure curiosity. . The kind of mind that started at a very young age taking things apart just to understand how they come together again. Later shaped through architecture and then refined at the forge. Gabriel was trained in liner lock mechanics by no less than David Lespect. If you don’t know David Lespect, under what rock have you been living, or do you even collect knives? 😅 . Gabriel’s work is right up there as well, firmly in that space we know from the incredible French custom knife makers. Carrying that mix of precision and craft into every single piece. .
